УПРАВЛЕНИЕ РИСКАМИ ЭКОНОМИЧЕСКОЙ БЕЗОПАСНОСТИ ХОЗЯЙСТВЕННЫХ СИСТЕМ

Nowadays, the amount of uncertainty surrounding the processes of forecasting the further establishment of a business system is increasing, resulting in the need for new approaches for detecting and managing the economic security risks of business systems. The study aims to examine the current risks to the state and regions’ economic security, as well as to develop an efficient tool for managing the risks to business systems in order to improve their adaptability in turbulent periods. The authors set the following objectives: systematization of the economic security risks of business systems at the given stage; examination of the causes and features of current risks affecting the condition of the state’s economic security; and search for managing approaches for risks in order to improve the adaptability of business systems. The authors identified economic sustainability risks, potential development risks, and social welfare risks. They also proposed a system of indicators for detecting existing economic risks. The article analyzed certain indicators of economic security from 2019 to 2021 in order to identify areas of vulnerability in Russian business systems. The ground for the tension and the economic security risks were determined. The authors introduced their own approach for developing a management system for the economic security risks of business systems, including determining a level of uncertainty (high, moderate, or low), a level of risk (high, moderate, or low), and appropriate urgent and strategic measures on the spot.

СТАН ТА ЗАБЕЗПЕЧЕННЯ ФІНАНСОВО-ЕКОНОМІЧНОЇ БЕЗПЕКИ ПРОМИСЛОВИХ ПІДПРИЄМСТВ В УМОВАХ ЦИФРОВІЗАЦІЇ ЕКОНОМІКИ

In the conditions of the development of the digital economy, the variability of factors in the market environment, and the increase in the level of competition, an important issue for enterprises is the stability of functioning, the growth of indicators of financial activity. It was determined that the efficiency of enterprises, protection against threats, risks, detection of the influence of negative factors of the external environment largely depend on the state of economic security. It has been proven that an important component of economic security is financial security, the efficiency of financial activity depends on its stability, and the financial stability of the enterprise. It was found that in the conditions of digitalization of the economy, it is important to increase the level of financial and economic security, which will affect the performance of the enterprise, will allow to protect it from the influence of threats and risks, to form measures to neutralize their influence. The role of financial and economic security in the work of the enterprise was studied and its principles were determined. The analysis of the dynamics of the number of enterprises that carried out electronic trade in Ukraine was carried out and the importance of cyber security was established, which also affects the indicators of financial and economic security. The indicators of liquidity and financial stability were analyzed and an integral assessment of the financial and economic security of PJSC "Zaporizhstal" was carried out. The problems of achieving financial and economic security of PJSC "Zaporizhstal" were identified, and measures and directions for ensuring financial and economic security were formed, namely: attraction of funds in the form of international aid; creation of a financial and economic security management system; implementation of the strategy of financial and economic security; assessment of the state of financial and economic security and formation of appropriate measures; professional development of personnel; formation of reserves to improve the security situation; use of modern software products; reduction of operating costs due to optimization and digitization of online and offline operations; saving resources; introduction of new technologies and production of new types of products; development of management systems and quality assessment of individual technical works. Solving the issues of ensuring economic security in the conditions of digitalization will allow to improve financial and economic activity, to form competitive advantages and to determine directions of development.

ВИЗНАЧЕННЯ ЗОН РИЗИКІВ ЕКОНОМІЧНОЇ БЕЗПЕКИ ПІДПРИЄМСТВ ЕЛЕКТРОЕНЕРЕГЕТИЧНОГО СЕКТОРУ ЕКОНОМІКИ УКРАЇНИ

The article examines the issue of the impact of risks on the formation and provision of economic security of enterprises in the electric power industry of Ukraine. Currently, the global economic crisis is dictating the conditions for the economies of almost all branches of industry, and for our country, waging war, on the one hand, had a negative impact on the economy of Ukraine, its investment attractiveness, on the other hand, the help of partners in response caused a chain reaction in the world financial system. The main goal of the electric power company is to increase competitiveness by providing high-quality electricity supply services, ensuring reliability and uninterrupted service for all types of persons (including legal consumers and the public). As a result of the analysis, the article presents the peculiarities of non-linear and open systems of electric power enterprises, which are prone to changing stages of stability and instability, namely the formation of four phases of functioning. This helped the author to form a model of comprehensive assessment of the economic security of an electric power enterprise and to present a system of indicators for its provision. This model is based on the identification of threats and the level of economic security, which will further be the object of enterprise research using a system of economic security indicators. The construction of a system of indicators of the economic security of an electric power enterprise is based on the following criteria: coverage of the most important markets and institutions; analytical significance; found usefulness; significance of institutions or crisis situations; accessibility; symmetrical display of information at the sector level; use of aggregated information; the use of a consolidated approach in order to avoid double accounting of the entity's capital and activity. The main indicators for determining the economic security of business entities have also been formed, which include a number of internal and external components. Thus, each of them includes a list of tools that, based on the aggregate results, certify the achievement of the appropriate level of economic security of the electric power enterprise.

Digitalization of Economic Security Management in Investment Security of Ukraine

Introduction. The study of economic security is relevant due to strengthening competition in the world market and military conflicts, which are becoming critical tasks for the state. Studying economic security makes it possible to identify the problematic aspects of a country's economy, find solutions, and develop strategies to ensure a sustainable investment policy. The specifics of changes in organizational models associated with digitalization also transform investment management systems. The most significant digital changes affect economic security, as the high openness of companies contributes to the emergence of various threats and risks to their activities. Therefore, it is essential to study the problems related to the risks of digital transformation within the framework of economic security management in the investment provision of Ukraine.
 Aim and tasks.  The purpose of the study is to analyse problems and develop a recommendation for assessing the level of economic security when developing investment projects, taking into account the risks of digital transformation, for better preparation for future projects of post-war reconstruction in Ukraine.
 The results. This study developed a conceptual model for assessing the level of economic security, which includes the systematization of critical indicators of economic security and the organization of ensuring end-to-end transparency of information during the implementation of investment projects for the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine based on intelligent technologies. Software for assessing economic security using machine learning methods is proposed, which will allow forecasting the state of the enterprise's economic security for the entire implementation period of the investment project.
 Conclusions. This research proved that an enterprise's economic security is a complex and integral economic concept that requires studying the influence of several external and internal factors. Therefore, the established approach to assessing the state of economic security should cover all current investment processes and risks that arise in the context of the digitalization of enterprises, influencing the choice of critical indicators. Post-war reconstruction should be based on the modernization of the economy by improving the security of the business environment (reducing corruption, ensuring private property rights and strengthening the security of business activities) and the transition to a digital society.

Economic issue of using artificial neural networks with radial-basis transmission functions for modeling efficiency of management processes

ObjectivesThe paper presents the possibility of using artificial neural networks (ANN) with radial-basis transmission function (RBF) for modeling of economic phenomena and processes.Material and methodsThe basic characteristics and parameters of an ANN with RBF are shown and the advantages of using this type of ANN for modeling economic phenomena and processes are emphasized. Using an ANN with RBF, together with official statistics for 2010-2017, the modeling of the influence caused by work efficiency indicators of the customs authorities of Ukraine on the indicators of economic security of Ukraine was carried out. These eighteen indicators of economic security of Ukraine, which comprehensively characterize the economic status of the country in terms of production, social, financial, food, transport, energy, and foreign economic security, were chosen as the most informative indicators.ResultsThe results of the study showed that Artificial neural networks with Radial-basis transmission function well describe the trend of changing state economic security indicators under the influence of changing performance indicators of customs authorities. This allows us to recommend this type of artificial neural networks for analysis, evaluation and forecasting of economic phenomena and processes.ConclusionsThe results obtained showed good analytical and prognostic properties of an ANN with RBF when modeling the impact of customs authorities' performance on the state's economic security indicators.

Factors for ensuring the economic security of depressed regions in the context of digital transformation

Purpose: of the study is to determine the factors that have both a positive and a negative impact on the economic security of depressed regions.Methods: of statistical analysis and ratio assessment were applied in determining the economic security of depressed regions, as well as cluster analysis, in order to identify similar trends in regions, on the basis of which it is possible to identify factors that affect economic security. The study is based on the analysis of statistical data from EMISS, as well as data from the Expert RA rating agency. The calculations were performed using the following programs: Microsoft Office Excel 2016 (calculation of the values of the resulting indicators of economic security of depressed regions) and IBM SPSS Statistics 2019 (carrying out cluster analysis).Results: an assessment of the economic security of depressed regions was carried out. It was revealed that all regions have problems with financial stability and a low level of development of foreign economic activity. However, for a number of socio-economic indicators, the Altai Republic, Pskov Region, and Kalmykia Republic reach values above the Russian average, but the indicators of average per capita cash income still remain low. Based on the cluster analysis of regions, a number of factors influencing the economic security of depressed regions have been identified.Conclusions and Relevance: for each cluster, key factors influencing economic security have been identified. The processes of digital transformation, subject to their high-quality implementation, become a positive factor in ensuring economic security for regions that occupy low positions in socio-economic development. The primary factors for ensuring economic security for regions that make up another cluster are qualitative changes aimed at the economic growth of the region.

Formation of an Environmentally-Oriented System for Sustainable Economic Security in the Context of Inter-Organizational Agricultural Cooperation

Objective: The paper aims to analyze and develop a sustainable environmentally-oriented system of economic security in the inter-organizational cooperation of agricultural enterprises.   Methods: The study utilizes the method of indicators and expert assessment of qualitative parameters under the proposed model of an environmentally-oriented system.   Results: The study proposes an innovative approach to ensuring environmental safety in the agriculture sector to achieve the goals of environmental sustainability. When implemented, the environmentally-oriented system brings about an improvement in economic security indicators within the framework of inter-organizational interaction.   Conclusion: For agricultural enterprises, the introduction of the socio-environmental-economic system translates into lower production costs, higher environmental and social responsibility, higher credibility with consumers, and the creation of a line of environmentally friendly products. As a result of the development of the concept of sustainable development of inter-organizational cooperation initiated by the growth of competitiveness, the intercompany level realizes the positive potential of impact on the company's activities through the improvement of indicators of the level of the environmentally-oriented system of economic security and, consequently, the overall level of economic security.

APPLICATION OF A SYSTEMATIC APPROACH FOR THE ANALYSIS OF THE ECONOMIC SECURITY OF ENTERPRISES IN THE AGRICULTURAL SECTOR OF UKRAINE

Implementing measures to increase the economic security of strategically essential branches of the national economy is necessary to support the stability of regions and the national economy. Management at all levels should contribute to preventing the occurrence of critical externalities in the macroeconomic environment that can lead to negative consequences in the context of ensuring the country's socio-economic development. The fundamental nature of achieving a high level of long-term economic security is identifying key determinants capable of identifying and eliminating potential threats. It is essential to emphasize the need to support the country's food security and the conceptual provisions that must be reviewed concerning global processes such as food embargo, geopolitical confrontation, etc. Modern agriculture is in a difficult situation, and the economic condition of the entire agro-industrial complex requires the search for solutions to the problems of permanent development of each enterprise, considering the development of long-term economic security. Searching for ways to form more favorable ways of functioning is a strategic direction of economic policy at all levels of management. It requires several global measures to support agribusiness enterprises' current, medium-term, and long-term efficiency. Economic security of the agricultural sector as an economic category has a complex multi-level system structure: food; ecological safety; biological (resource); financial and credit; social; inventory management; social indicators; insurance provision; state regulation; agricultural cooperation; monitoring; agricultural information; agriculture and animal husbandry; cars; population employment; trade; wholesale food markets; scientific support. The system of full-fledged economic security of enterprises of the agrarian sector involves the development of its effective organizational and functional structure, which may include the scientific theory of economic security of the agrarian sector, the concept of food security, food policy, state, and public institutions that ensure economic security, organizational and economic mechanism, indicators and indicators of economic security, monitoring of the actual state of economic security of the agrarian sector.

Economic security of regions: A prerequisite for diversifying the Azerbaijan economy

This article aimed to empirically substantiate the development of priority sectors to improve the economic security of the regions in Azerbaijan to achieve the goals of diversifying the national economy. We calculated an integral indicator of the economic security of areas by combining various socioeconomic development indicators, accounting for their variations from 2005 to 2022. The research established the relationship between the integral indicator of economic security in Azerbaijan's regions and the availability and efficiency of production factors in critical sectors of the economy, including Mining and quarrying, Manufacturing, Construction, Agriculture, forestry and fishing, and Trade. By applying the regression method, we concluded that agriculture and trade play a decisive role in increasing regional economic security in modern conditions. The research highlighted those growing factors: the number of employees, wages, and investments in fixed assets in these sectors, would be instrumental in achieving the adequate diversification of the country's economy.

Public health and national security proxies: Case of European countries

The COVID-19 pandemic has spurred transformations aimed at ensuring the effectiveness of the public health system and highlighted the need for a deeper study of the causal relationships between the parameters of healthcare system effectiveness and the national security. The aim of this study is to identify causal and temporal patterns in the impact of various types of healthcare expenditures on the components of national security. The study was conducted on a sample of 34 European countries for 2000-2021. In order to achieve the research objectives, integral indicators of economic, social, and environmental security were developed based on a complex combination of principal component analysis, Fishburn formula and additive convolution. Panel data regression modelling was employed to identify causal relationships between health care expenditures and those integral indicators. Finally, distributional-lag modelling (testing for the presence of a lag of up to 3 years) identified temporal patterns of the relationship between the indicators. Causal and temporal patterns of the relationship between health care expenditures and components of national security of the state were determined according to the modelling results.

Анализ влияния теневой экономики на показатели экономической безопасности страны

The article analyzes the links between the indicators of the shadow economy and the indicators of economic security of the country. To carry out this analysis, the correlation analysis technique was used. Eight indicators characterizing the shadow economy have been identified. The indicators characterizing the threat of criminalization, the threat of unemployment, labor productivity, the threat of poverty of the population, the replenishment of the state budget are determined. The analysis confirmed the hypothesis about the negative impact of the shadow economy on: crime, the level of poverty of the population, labor productivity and replenishment of the state budget. An alternative point of view about the positive impact of the shadow economy on economic security in terms of neutralizing such a threat as unemployment is confirmed.

Measuring the agricultural sustainability of India: An application of Pressure-State-Response (PSR) model

Analyzing agricultural sustainability is essential for designing and assessing rural development initiatives. However, accurately measuring agricultural sustainability is complicated since it involves so many different factors. This study provides a new suite of quantitative indicators for assessing agricultural sustainability at regional and district levels, involving environmental sustainability, social security, and economic security. Combining the Pressure-State-Response (PSR) model and indicator approach, this study creates a composite agricultural sustainability index for the 14 mainstream agro-climatic regions of India. The results of this study show that the Trans-Gengatic Plain Region (TGPR) ranks first in agricultural sustainability among India’s 14 mainstream agro-climatic regions, while the Eastern Himalayan Region (EHR) ranks last. Higher livestock ownership, cropping intensity, per capita income, irrigation intensity, share of institutional credit, food grain productivity, crop diversification, awareness of minimum support price, knowledge sharing with fellow farmers, and young and working population, as well as better transportation facilities and membership of agricultural credit societies are influencing indicators responsible for higher agricultural sustainability in TGPR compared with EHR. Although, the scores of environmental sustainability indicators of EHR are quite good, its scores of social and economic security indicators are fairly low, putting it at the bottom of the rank of agricultural sustainability index among the 14 mainstream agro-climatic regions in India. This demonstrates the need of understanding agricultural sustainability in relation to social and economic dimensions. In a nation as diverse and complicated as India, it is the social structure that determines the health of the economy and environment. Last but not least, the sustainability assessment methodology may be used in a variety of India’s agro-climatic regions.

СРАВНЕНИЕ КЛЮЧЕВЫХ ИНДИКАТОРОВ ЭКОНОМИЧЕСКОЙ БЕЗОПАСНОСТИ США, РОССИИ И КИТАЯ В РАЗРЕЗЕ ГЛОБАЛЬНОЙ СОЦИАЛЬНО-ЭКОЛОГИЧЕСКОЙ ПОВЕСТКИ

The purpose of the study is to compare the approaches to the economic security of the leading world powers of the United States, China and Russia within the framework of the global socio-environmental agenda.
 In the course of the research, the author's methods are used, based on the search for dynamic coincidences in numerical expressions of various socio-economic processes and the detailing of indicators. In addition, traditional methods of economic research are used: observation, comparison, analysis and synthesis. 
 The study revealed correlations in the dynamics of changes in the values of indicators related to the processes of ensuring the economic security of the countries under consideration, proposed justifications for the reasons for these correlations, considered the impact on the geopolitical situation in the world and ensuring global economic security. Diagnostics of the state of the economy based on the values of economic security indicators of the leading countries of the world showed the relationship between the macroeconomic processes taking place in the global economy with the participation of the three leading countries of the world.

Трансформация политики южнороссийских регионов в условиях внешних шоков

Introduction. The need to respond to external shocks determines the adjustment of state policy in order to maintain a stable socio-economic situation in the regions. This study aims to determine how the political strategy of solving the problems of increasing political stability and economic security is changing in the regions in the face of growing economic pressure from Western countries, as well as evaluate the effectiveness of the measures taken. Methodology and methods. The object of the study was the Volgograd and Rostov regions. Research methods included: a systematic approach to the analysis of the economic policy of the region as an integral component of ensuring national security in the face of external shocks; context analysis of documents adopted by the legislative authorities of the regions in relation to the implementation of economic policy; and a comparative analysis of indicators of economic security in the regions. As indicators characterizing the effectiveness of economic policy measures, indicators of the economic security of the region, formed in the context of the goals and directions laid down in the Economic Security Strategy of the Russian Federation, were used. Analysis. The results of the analysis showed that, from the point of view of maintaining economic security, the measures to support capitalist relations associated with the increment of the total assets of the region showed the greatest effectiveness. At the same time, there is a clear shortage of state support instruments in the social sphere. Results. It was found that the political goals of the authorities in the face of increasing current shocks have shifted from “adaptation as a way of survival”, characteristic of the period of the COVID-19 pandemic, to “ensuring economic security through renewal.” At the same time, a significant role in the implementation of political strategies of public administration in the regions was assigned to new practices of subsidiarity with a focus on strengthening cooperation between authorities, local communities, and the private sector. It is concluded that the ways of adapting the South Russian regions to current challenges involve the further development of intra-regional interactions among a wide range of agents, with special attention to the role of formal and informal institutions in solving the problems of ensuring economic security. ASSESSMENT OF FINANCIAL AND ECONOMIC SECURITY OF BUSINESS INNOVATION ENTERPRISES IN HOSPITALITY AND TOURISM

Due to a number of external uncontrolled factors of negative influence, Ukrainian business entities functioning in the hospitality and tourism business have seen the most severe crisis and depression over the past three years. In order to survive in such conditions and develop the business intensively, Ukrainian business entities must clearly define internal problematic aspects to correct them promptly, as well as the potential opportunities towards which the maximum effort should be directed. The article offers and justifies an approach to assessing the financial and economic security of hospitality and tourism business entities in the complex modern conditions under which the Ukrainian economy is developing. In order to achieve the research goal, the methods of systematization, grouping, and logical generalization were applied.The article systematizes the key aspects of ensuring the financial and economic security for the company's activities that should be followed by its management, describes the structure of an enterprise's financial and economic security, and formulates the concept of financial and economic security for business entities in hospitality and tourism. The paper also specifies the sequence of stages, which would be advisable to follow when managing the financial and economic security of hospitality and tourism enterprises. The authors have summarized the approaches to assessing an enterprise's financial and economic security in modern literature and have grouped the indicators of financial and economic security for hospitality and tourism business enterprises. The study analyzes the dynamics of financial indicators which comprehensively characterize the functioning of temporary accommodation and catering enterprises, as well as economic operators of tourist activity in Ukraine and offers an approach to assessing the financial and economic security of hospitality and tourism business enterprises which base their activities on the innovation potential. The results of the study prove that differentiating and operating the components of hospitality and tourism business operators' innovation potential is expedient and improves their financial and economic security.The practical significance of the obtained results lies in increasing the financial and economic security and innovativeness of hospitality and tourism business enterprises in Ukraine by applying the proposed approach to evaluation as a monitoring tool.

Economic security of Ukraine under the destructive influence of exogenous determinants

Purpose. To design a Methodical Approach to assessing the level of economic security of Ukraine under the destructive influence of exogenous determinants and verification of the results of its application. Methodology. The methods of analysis and synthesis are used to substantiate the functional components and aspects of ensuring the economic security of the state and to develop a system of indicators for their assessment. The index method is used in developing an integral indicator of the level of economic security of the state. Findings. It is proved that for transitive economies the impact on economic security of geopolitical and geo-economics threats of an exogenous nature, which are significantly strengthened in the conditions of globalization, is decisive. The necessity is substantiated to develop a methodology for assessing the economic security of Ukraine in the direction of developing Methodical approaches that allow providing a thorough assessment of the actual determinants of economic security, which primarily include the impact of globalization processes and the escalation of military-political threats. A Methodical Approach to the determination of indicators of economic security of the state is proposed, which is based on the separation of functional components and aspects of provision in the structure of economic security of the state. A system of indicators for evaluating elements of economic security is developed, taking into account the relationship between the values and dynamics of indicators with the influence of exogenous determinants. A toolkit for assessing the level of economic security of the state is proposed, which provides for the calculation of the integral indicator of the level of economic security based on the generalization of the values of indicators of the state of its functional components and aspects of provision. The integral indicator of the level of economic security of Ukraine was calculated during 2006–2020. Based on the analysis of the dynamics of the integral indicator of the level of Ukraine’s economic security and its component indicators, key regularities in their absolute and relative transformations are revealed. Originality. A Methodical Approach to assessing the level of economic security of Ukraine in terms of destructive influence of exogenous determinants is proposed basing on the calculation of an integral indicator, which allows formulating conclusions regarding the state and trends of the transformation of economic security of Ukraine. Practical value. The obtained results create the basis for determining the priorities of ensuring the economic security of Ukraine, which should be both overcoming the destructive influence on the economic development of exogenous determinants, and using the opportunities created in the internal and external environment of the country to prevent threats to the economic security of the state.

The use of neural networks in the analysis of economic security of the university

Subject. The article considers the introduction of digitalization tools into the process of analyzing the economic security of the university. The growth of technologies related to the use of neural networks, their practical application is currently not adequately developed. Objectives. The aim is to critically review and evaluate the main methods used in the analysis of economic security, develop analytical tools for assessing and forecasting the economic security of higher education institutions based on modern information technology achievements. Methods. The study employs general and specific scientific methods of cognition, methods of data analysis, and machine learning. Results. I reviewed the developed methods of analyzing the economic security of various economic entities and higher educational institutions, underpinned the need to form a complex (integrated) index of economic security of the university, offered a solution to issues related to the choice of methods used for the formation of a complex (integrated) index, the justification of weighting coefficients and threshold values for each index and area of activity of a higher education institution, and interpretation of analysis results. Conclusions. The disclosed formation of the integrated indicator of economic security of the university, the reasoned choice of architecture and method of training of the neural network form the basis for further development of analytical tools to assess economic security, enabling higher efficiency and quality of analysis, and management decisions made on its basis.

SIGNIFICANCE OF PERSONNEL SECURITY ASSESSMENT INDICATORS IN THE SYSTEM OF ENTERPRISE ECONOMIC SECURITY ASSESSMENT INDICATORS

The purpose of the article is to determine the importance of indicators of personnel security assessment in the system of indicators of economic security assessment of the enterprise. The novelty of this analysis is that it emphasizes the importance of the moral dimension as the basis of personnel security (not only the enterprise). It should be added that the given indicators of economic security can be calculated and changes in their dynamics can be studied, which contributes to the adoption of appropriate and timely decisions. The study of the moral dimension is already in the area of universal human values, but it directly affects all processes.
 «... domestic enterprises' restructuring of their activities in conditions of dynamic uncertainty of external environmental factors and adaptation to market conditions is a continuous process, but the methods of achieving competitive advantages and obtaining profits already depend on the "quality" of the human resource that performs management - on its moral dimension» [1, p. 269].
 Since the staff is both an object and a subject of management, the purposeful moral and intellectual impoverishment of the working population of the country is both a cause and a consequence of the decline not only of the management of individual enterprises, but also of the degradation of Ukrainian society. The origins of a low level of management should be considered in the aspect of interrelated processes, starting with studies in a higher educational institution. The young generation of "consumers with clip-on thinking" loses its value orientations, and the implementation of the principle of "negative selection" not only in the government, but also in Ukrainian institutions at all levels, nepotism and corruption contribute to the further degradation of Ukrainian society as a whole.

Actual features of ensuring the economic security of food industry enterprises

The purpose of the work was to consider the actual features of ensuring the economic security of food industry enterprises on the example of KDV LLC. The author described aspects that relate to the essence of the economic security of an enterprise as a basic category of analysis. The work considered three approaches to determining the security of an economic entity, while highlighting the most complex of them, which later began to be used as a base one. The author identified the levels of economic security of the enterprise, which are divided into 6 levels (proprietary, senior management, organizational structure, personnel policy and personnel motivation systems, building business processes, current financial and economic activities, analysis and control of financial and economic activities). A special place in the work is occupied by the study of the key components of the economic security of the enterprise, among which are: financial; personnel; technical and technological; fire department; legal; informational; ecological. The author noted the need to determine the system of indicators of economic security of the enterprise, which includes the following types of indicators of economic security: question; questionnaire; tabular; mathematical; graphic matrix; portfolio. After studying the theoretical aspects, the author conducted an analysis of the economic security of the food industry enterprise KDV LLC. With the help of open information sources, a characteristic of the selected economic entity was compiled. Thanks to the extensive methodological base for studying economic security indicators, the most important indicators applicable to assessing security in the food industry have been identified. In addition, a SWOT analysis was carried out by KDV LLC for a more comprehensive study of possible and existing risks.

Ensuring the economic security of innovation activities of Russian enterprises

Aim. The presented study aims to develop an economic security management system for innovation activities of Russian enterprises.Tasks. The author identifies the theoretical and practical aspects of ensuring the economic security of innovation activities of Russian enterprises and develops a model for ensuring the economic security of innovation activities with allowance for the identified problematic factors.Methods. This study uses the methods of bibliographic research, system analysis, synthesis, communication, and analogy; information and analytical collections of the Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge of the National Research University – Higher School of Economics; the results of Global Innovation Index research.Results. It is shown that creation of conditions necessary for conducting safe activities in the field of innovation facilitates the implementation of strategic goals to ensure Russia’s economic security and will also allow the country’s economy to switch to an innovative path of development. By investigating the methodology for calculating the global innovation index, the author proves that national policy in the field of ensuring the economic security of innovation activities should be carried out in five key directions: improving the system of institutions engaged in these activities, ensuring human capital development, expanding the strategic infrastructure of innovation activities, developing the domestic market of innovative goods, and developing the business through the application of the results of innovation activities.Conclusions. Implementation of state policy in these areas will make it possible to achieve high indicators of economic security of innovation activities. An unstructured, fragmented state policy that supports only certain key areas will not produce the desired result, which will be expressed in achieving a high degree of protection of innovation activities from internal and external threats.
